How to Apply for the Google Ads Grant
Getting started with Google’s $10,000/month Ad Grant is easier than you might think — and it can completely transform your organization’s visibility online.
Here’s how to apply in just a few simple steps:
Step 1: Make Sure You’re Eligible
To qualify, your nonprofit must:
-
Be a registered 501(c)(3) organization
-
Have a functioning website with substantial content
-
Agree to Google’s Nonprofit Terms and Conditions
Note: Government entities, hospitals, and schools are not eligible.
Step 2: Register with Google for Nonprofits
Visit Google for Nonprofits and sign in with your organization’s Gmail account.
You’ll need to:
-
Verify your organization through Goodstack
-
Submit a short application
-
Wait 1–3 business days for approval

Step 3: Activate the Google Ads Grant
Once approved, log into your Google for Nonprofits dashboard and activate Google Ad Grants.
Google will walk you through setting up a new Google Ads account (important: DO NOT use an existing email address that's already linked to a PAID Google Ads account).
*If Google comes back with a disapproval, this means your website needs some changes made and you'll need to resubmit once the changes have been made. If you have questions about this, I can help you.

Step 4: Reach Out to Me
Once your Ad Grant is active, contact me and I’ll take it from there! I will:
-
Set up conversion tracking and reporting
-
Create targeted campaigns
-
Optimize and manage your ads month after month
So you can focus on your mission — while I help bring in more supporters, volunteers, and donors.
